CONVERSION OF LENGTH 


1 CM = 10mm

1 M. = 1000 mm

1 M = 100 cm

These are the basic conversions.


Let's look into some other typical conversions.


YARDS TO METERS:-

To convert yard to meter need to multiply the number with 0.9144 which is a conversion factor.

For example :- 6 yards is equals to 6 X  0.9144 = 5.48 metres.


METRES TO YARDS:-

To convert to yard need to multiply with 1.0936 I,e. The conversion factor is 1.0936.

For example :- 5 metres = 5X1.0936 = 5.48 yards.



METERS TO FEET:-

To convert meters into feet need to multiply the number which your want to convert by 3.28. 

For example :- 5 metres is equal to 5X 3.28 = 16.4 feets.


FEET TO METERS:-

To convert feet into meters need to multiply the number which your want to convert by 0.3048. 

For example :- 7 feets is equal to 7X 0.3048 = 2.13 metres.


METERS TO INCHES:- 

To convert meters into inches you need to military the number which you want to convert with 39.37.

For example :- 2 metres is equal to 2X 39.37 = 78.74 inches.


INCHES TO METERS:-

To convert inches into meters you need to the military the number which you want to convert with 0.0254. 

For example:-12 inches is equal to 12 X 0.0254 = 0.3048 metres.


YARDS TO FEET:-

To convert yards into feet, need to multiply the number which we want to convert, with 3

For example, 5 yards is equaled to 5X3 which is 15 feet.


FEET TO YARDS:-

The conversion factor is 0.333, for example, 5 feet is equal to 5 X 0.333 is 1.667 yards.

One yard is equal to 36 inches, so multiply the yard with 36 numbers for yards to inches conversion.


INCHES TO YARDS:-

the conversion factor is 0.02778. same multiply the inches with 0.0278, you will get converted to yards.

For This, the conversion factor is 12 which means for example 5 feet is equal to 5X12 is 60 inches.
In the case of inches to feet conversion, the multiplication factor is 0.0833.
